Description
1995-96 Andrew Cassels Hartford Whalers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #235

This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Andrew Cassels during the 1995-96 NHL season. The Montreal Canadiens selected Cassels in the 1st round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. Andrew began his career in Montreal in 1989-90 and spent 2 years with the Canadiens before embarking on a 6-year stay in Hartford. He next spent 2 years in Calgary, followed by 3 in Vancouver, 2 in Columbus and 1 final season in Washington. Cassels had a handful of 20-goal seasons during his career, totaling better than 200 in a career that spanned in excess of 1000 games played. His career best year came in 1992-93 as he tallied 21 goals and 64 assists for 85 points.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick marks, some significant board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. A nice example complete with letter of honor that marked the latter part of the existence of the Hartford Whalers franchise in New England.
