1994-95 Tony Twist St. Louis Blues Pre-Season Game Worn Jersey
Lot #25
This road blue air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Tony Twist during the 1994-95 NHL preseason. The St. Louis Blues selected Twist in the 9th round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. This legendary pugilist made his NHL debut in 1989-90 with the Blues. After merely a season in St. Louis, Twist joined the Quebec Nordiques and spent the next four seasons patrolling the ice north of the border. In 1994-95, Tony rejoined the Blues where he finished up his career some five seasons later. Over the course of 10 NHL seasons, Twist dressed for 445 games and accumulated 1121 PIMS, most by way of 5-minute majors.

The wrist on the right sleeve of this gamer has been torn open at the seam, running all the way to the elbow. The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns and inner pilling. The tightly wrapped and heavily customized fight strap has a pair of skate laces affixed and shows signs of rusting. On the inside hem is the official St. Louis Blues game worn jersey and set stamp. Shown above are a couple of screen captures of Twist letting fly against Brantt Myhres during the 1994-95 preseason. A nice old style Bluenote example worn by this feared enforcer, which marked his return to the St. Louis Blues.
