1994-95 Steve Potvin Peoria Rivermen Game Worn Jersey – “50-year IHL”- Rookie
Lot #1004

This road blue knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Steve Potvin during the 1994-95 IHL season, his rookie year. Potvin enjoyed a lengthy professional career that began with Peoria in 1994-95. Following a handful of seasons spread between the IHL, AHL and ECHL, this winger ventured to Europe where he played for the next 10 years of his career. Potvin returned to the CHL and played in one final season with the Arizona Sundogs in 2009-10.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the IHL’s 50-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. A nameplate change is also worthy of mention. Potvin joined the Rivermen after finishing up his OHL career in the spring of 1995. He suited up with Peoria for a pair of regular season games and a couple more in the playoffs while wearing this sweater during road contests.
