1994-95 Mike Tomlak Milwaukee Admirals Game Worn Jersey – “50-year Anniversary”
Lot #250

This road blue knit gamer by Bauer was worn by Mike Tomlak during the 1994-95 IHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Tomlak in the 11th round of the 1983 NHL Entry Draft. This Thunder Bay native began his NHL career with the Hartford Whalers in 1989-90 following a stint with the Canadian National Team. Mike’s NHL career spanned parts of 4 seasons, all of which were spent with the Whalers. Tomlak went on to finish his playing career with the IHL’s Milwaukee Admirals, where he played for 4 seasons and won the IHL’s Comeback Player of the Year in 1997-98, his final season in the IHL.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the IHL’s 50-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops, heavy inner pilling and a dozen and a half team-sewn repairs. This all-sewn-on beauty was worn by Tomlak during road games in his first season with the Admirals as he scored 27 goals and 68 points in 63 games. A well-worn patched example from the minor league days of this former NHL center.
