Description
1994-95 Derek Plante Buffalo Sabres Game Worn Jersey - 25-year Anniversary – “RRP”
Lot #152

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Derek Plante during the 1994-95 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Plante in the 8th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. This Cloquet, MN native played his college hockey at the University of Minnesota-Duluth and led the WCHA in goals, assists and scoring as a senior with the Bulldogs. Derek made his NHL debut in 1993-94 with Buffalo where he spent 6 seasons before moving on to represent the Dallas Stars, Chicago Blackhawks and Philadelphia Flyers. Plante won a Stanley Cup in 1999 with Dallas. In 2001, Derek went to Europe where he played a handful of years before retiring.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Buffalo Sabres 25-year anniversary patch. Embroidered to the right shoulder is the RRP patch. The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains, cuff pilling, heavy inner pilling and a team-sewn repair. A beautiful well-worn double patched example from Plante’s sophomore season.
