1994-95 Darren Banks Portland Pirates Game Worn Jersey Alternate
Lot #351
This black alternate knit gamer by CCM was worn by Darren Banks during the 1994-95 AHL season. Banks had a career that spanned a decade and a half and included parts of two seasons as a member of the Boston Bruins. Known as one of the toughest in all of minor league hockey, Banks left his mark on opponents as he traveled thru the IHL, ECHL, AHL, CoHL, UHL and NHL among others. A look through Darren’s playing record shows numerous seasons with ridiculously high PIMS totals. Several 300+ PIMS seasons exist and perhaps none of his seasons are more impressive than his effort with the Detroit Falcons in 1995-96 where he amassed 290 PIMS in just 38 games, wow!

Banks spent 12 games with the Portland Pirates, all in 1994-95. During that time he scored a goal and added two assists to accompany his 38 PIMS. The game wear on this size 54 alternate consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, a salted fight strap and a surprisingly heavy amount of inner pilling. A nice enforcers sweater from one of Darren’s many minor league stops.
