This road orange air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Chris Therien during the 1994-95 NHL season, his rookie year. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Therien in the 3rd round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at Providence College, Chris made his NHL debut in 1994-95 with the Flyers. Therien roamed the NHL blue lines for 11 years, all of them with Philadelphia but for an 11-game stint late in 2003-04 with Dallas. Internationally, Therien won a Silver Medal in 1994 with the Canadian Olympic Team. With over 750 games in a Flyers uniform, Chris became a fan favorite and the 4th longest tenured Flyer in team history. Following his playing days, Chris began a second career, again with the Flyers, working on their radio broadcasts.
The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, fine inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. A well-worn rookie sweater of the 4th longest tenured player in Philadelphia Flyers franchise history.
