Description
1994-95 Adam Oates Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey
Lot #67
This road black air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Adam Oates during the 1994-95 NHL season. This undrafted future Hall of Famer, who played his college hockey at R.P.I., made a name for himself setting up some of the great snipers of the modern era. First it was Brett Hull in St. Louis, next it was Cam Neely in Boston and finally it was Peter Bondra in Washington. His playmaking abilities led him to the rank of 6th in career NHL assists with only Gretzky, Francis, Bourque, Messier and Coffey ahead of him. Through his lengthy career, Adam accumulated nearly 1100 assists and better than 1400 career points which ranks him 16th all-time. Oates was a 2nd Team NHL All Star at Center and played in 5 NHL All Star games. His finest statistical season came in 1992-93 with the Boston Bruins, where his 45 goals, 97 assists and 142 points placed him 3rd in the NHL scoring race behind only Mario Lemieux and Pat LaFonataine.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 1st set size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and in excess of two-dozen team sewn-repairs! On the inside hem is the official Boston Bruins game worn jersey and set stamp. A fantastic offering, littered with repairs and donned by this future Hall of Famer during the strike shortened 1994-95 campaign.
