1994-1995 Alphonso Ford Philadelphia 76ers Warm-Up Jacket
Lot #638

This home white warm-up jacket by Champion was worn by Alphonso Ford while playing for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 1994-95 NBA season. Ford was drafted by the 76ers in the 2nd round of the 1993 NBA Entry Draft. He played briefly in the NBA, 6 games for the Seattle Supersonics in 1993-94 and 5 games with the 76ers in 1994-95. He is known as one of the greatest college basketball players of all time. Playing for Mississippi Valley State University, Ford led the entire NCAA Division 1 in his freshman season, averaging 29.9 points per game. In his sophomore season, he upped that to 32.7 points per game. He became the 1st player in NCAA Division 1 history to average 25 points in 4 straight seasons. He currently sits 4th on the NCAA Division 1 scoring list behind Pete Maravich, Freeman Williams and Lionel Simmons. Tragically, Ford died of leukemia in September of 2004 at the age of 32.

This white Champion warm-up jacket has the player number "8" written on the manufacturers tag. In the neck of the jacket is the manufacturers and size tag as well as the 1994-95 year tag with a +2 body length and +0 sleeve length. We acquired the 76ers game worn jerseys directly from the team in the early 1990's.
