1993 Finals Jimmy Carson Kings Game Worn Jersey - "1993 Stanley Cup Finals" - Video Matched
Lot #113

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jimmy Carson during the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals. Carson was the 2nd overall selection by the Kings in the 1986 NHL entry draft and made the NHL’s All-Rookie team in 1987.

The following 2 seasons saw Jimmy net 55 and 49 goals and in excess of 100 points in both. Following 2 seasons in LA, Carson was the Kings key player in the blockbuster trade that brought Wayne Gretzky to LA for the start of the 1988-89 NHL season. Carson was an All Star in 1989, his first season with the Oilers. After a short stay in Edmonton, Jimmy spent 3+ years in Detroit before returning to LA and helping the Kings to the Stanley Cup Finals in his first season back.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals patch. The game wear is solid despite the Kings finest dry cleaning efforts. Visible are stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inside hem is the LA Kings official game worn jersey set tagging which has also been initialed by the teams equipment man. Shown above is a video match of Carson wearing this exact sweater during the 1993 Stanley Cup Finals. Stanley Cup Finals gamers are among the most collectible jerseys in our entire hobby. Owning one worn by this 50-goal scorer and former NHL All Star would be looked upon as a solid addition to any collection.
