Description
1993-95 Mike Ricci Quebec Nordiques Game Worn Jersey
Lot #261
This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Mike Ricci during the 1993-95 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers made Mike Ricci the 4th overall pick in the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Mike spent 2 years in Philly before being dealt to Quebec in the blockbuster deal that allowed the Flyers to acquire Eric Lindros. Mike spent 3 years in Quebec and then transferred with the club to Colorado where he played for 2 more seasons before joining the San Jose Sharks. Ricci called the Shark Tank home for 7 years before a final stint in Phoenix. All told, Ricci partook in 1099 games, scored 243 goals and 605 points. Ricci was part of the 1996 Stanley Cup winning team in Colorado where his grit played a huge role in helping the Avs past their bitter western conference rival, the Detroit Red Wings en route to the franchise’s first Stanley Cup.

Proudly affixed to the left breast of this gamer is the rare oversized alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, a heavily salted fight strap and fine inner pilling. A terrific example from the early part of this warrior’s NHL career and that also sports the ever-desirable letter of honor.
