Description
1993-94 Steve Leach Boston Bruins Game Worn Jersey
Lot #81

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Steve Leach during the 1993-94 NHL season. The Washington Capitals selected Leach in the 2nd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at the University of New Hampshire, this Cambridge, MA native made his NHL debut in 1985-86 with the Capitals. Leach spent 6 seasons with Washington before joining the Boston Bruins for a five-year run. This winger finished up his 15-year NHL career with stops in St. Louis, Carolina, Ottawa, Phoenix and Pittsburgh. Leach was a scrappy winger who scored a career best 31 goals and 147 PIMS during his first season with the Bruins. Leach also represented Team USA during the 1980’s, playing for the National Team, partaking in the World Junior Championships and the 1988 Olympics.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the Velcro that houses the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this 2nd set size 52 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. On the inside hem is the official Boston Bruins game worn jersey and set stamp. A nice example from the days of Bourque, Neely and Oates in Beantown.
