1993-94 Scott Stevens New Jersey Devils Bauer Game Worn Skates - Team Letter
Lot #711

These black and white Bauer Supreme 1000 hockey skates were game worn by Hall of Famer Scott Stevens during the 1993-94 NHL season while playing for the New Jersey Devils.  Stevens was the 5th overall selection in the 1982 NHL entry draft by the Washington Capitals. He would go on to a much-celebrated 23-year NHL career. He played for the Capitals for 8 seasons before signing as a free agent in July of 1990 with the St. Louis Blues.

Merely a year later, in a landmark decision, Stevens was transferred to the New Jersey Devils as compensation for the signing of Brendan Shanahan. He would remain with the Devils until the end of his career 13 years later. In 1635 games played, Stevens scored 908 points and racked up 2785 PIMS. He partook in 233 playoff contests, scoring 118 points and amassing 402 PIMS. After only 1 season in New Jersey, Stevens assumed the title of Team Captain, a role he held for 12 seasons. During this time he hoisted 3 Stanley Cups and was awarded the 2000 Conn Smythe Trophy as most valuable player of the playoffs. Scott represented Team Canada in the Canada Cup, the World Cup of Hockey and the Olympics. He was 5-times a 1st or 2nd Team NHL All Star and appeared in 13 NHL All Star games. This warrior is a member of the NHL Hall of Fame and will be remembered as one of the great leaders and competitors of our generation.

These black Bauer hockey skates have the player number “4” written on the bottom in black marker.  Also noted on the bottom in black marker is 12-7-93.  The skates show nice game use and will be accompanied by a Devils team letter.
