1993-94 Sandy Smith Salt Lake Golden Eagles Game Worn Jersey
Lot #300

This home white mesh gamer by Bauer was worn by Sandy Smith during the 1993-94 IHL season. The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Smith in the 5th round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. After playing four years of college hockey with the University of Minnesota-Duluth, this Brainers, MN native made his professional debut in 1989-90 with the Muskegon and Lumberjack where he skated for four seasons with his fourth year in Cleveland. Sandy went on to play for the Salt Lake Golden Eagles, Detroit Vipers and Minnesota Moose before spending his final four seasons playing in Europe.

Proudly sewn to the left breast of this gamer is the alternate Captain’s “A”. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. On the back right shoulder is a beautiful blue sharpie signature in Smith’s own hand. A nice vintage minor league offering.
