Description
1993-94 Robert Reichel Calgary Flames Game Worn Jersey - Career Best 40-Goal, 53-Assist & 93-Point Season - Photo Match
Lot #110

This road red air-knit gamer by CCM and Mono Crest Canada Inc. was worn by Robert Reichel during the 1993-94 NHL season. The Calgary Flames selected Reichel in the 4th round of the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. This Czech native spent 11 seasons in the NHL while representing the Flames, Islanders, Coyotes and Maple Leafs. Reichel netted 252 goals and 630 points during his 830 game career. He scored a career best 40-goals in back-to-back seasons with Calgary in 1992-93 and 1993-94. Reichel was also a regular on the international scene where he represented the Czech Republic in the World Championships, the 1991 Canada Cup, the 1996 and 2004 World Cup of Hockey and the 1998 and 2002 Olympics.

The game wear on this 4th set size 50 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, heavy inner pilling and heavy team-sewn repair work including a massive sew job on the belly and additional Frankenstein style stitched repairs on the sleeves, more than a dozen all told. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Reichel wearing this exact jersey during the 1993-94 season. Sewn to the inside hem is the Mono Crest Canada Inc. tagging. Found alongside is the official Calgary Flames game worn jersey and set information. A beautiful well-worn photo matched example hailing from Reichel’s career best 40-Goal, 53-Assist and 93-Point season.
