This white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Mike Lappin during the 1993-94 NHL preseason. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Lappin in the 12th round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. This Chicago native played two seasons of college hockey with Boston University before spending two more at St. Lawrence University. Lappin attempted to make the Ottawa Senators roster, competing for a spot during the 1993-94 preseason. Otherwise, he played professionally in Europe as well as for the Raleigh Icecaps of the ECHL.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. A nice early franchise example, complete with the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch.
