1993-94 Mats Sundin Quebec Nordiques Game Worn Jersey
Lot #239
This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Mats Sundin during the 1993-94 NHL season. Sundin was the 1st overall selection in the 1989 NHL entry draft by the Quebec Nordiques where he began his career. He played in Quebec for 4 seasons before joining the Toronto Maple Leafs in 1994. Mats would spend the bulk of his career with the Leafs, 13 years in all before one final season with the Canucks.

Sundin rang up impressive career stats. To his credit are 564 goals, 785 assists and 1349 points. Sundin played in 8 NHL All Star games, the 1991 Canada Cup where he was named to the Canada Cup All Star team, two World Cups of Hockey along with a 1996 World Cup All Star selection and three Olympics where he valiantly represented Team Sweden. Sundin also has two 2nd Team NHL All Star selections to his credit along with the 2008 Mark Messier Leadership Award. Mats was one of the most consistent players of his generation and will no doubt be honored with a place in Hockey’s Hall of Fame upon eligibility.

The game wear on this size 56 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. A nice example worn by this Swede during his last year as a member of the Nordiques.
