This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Kevin Dineen during the 1993-94 NHL season. The Hartford Whalers selected Dineen in the 3rd round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. After playing his college hockey at the University of Denver, Dineen made his NHL debut in 1984-85 with the Hartford Whalers. Kevin would spend parts of 10 years with Hartford over the course of his 19-year NHL career during two different stints. A deal during the 1991-92 season sent Dineen to Philadelphia where he remained with the Flyers for parts of five years. Kevin later played for the Carolina Hurricanes, the Ottawa Senators and finally spent three seasons with the Columbus Blue Jackets. This feisty winger scored 355 goals and amassed 2229 PIMS during his career. Kevin was twice a 40-goal man who played in two NHL All Star games and won the 1991 Bud Light NHL Man of the Year Award.
The game wear on this size 50 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. On the back-player number is a black sharpie signature in Dineen’s own hand. A well-worn vintage example of this former 40-goal scorer and 2000 PIMS man.
