This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Gord Donnelly during the 1993-94 NHL season, the franchise’s first season in Dallas. The St. Louis Blues selected Donnelly in the 3rd round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. This Montreal native made his NHL debut in 1983-84 with the Quebec Nordiques where he played for 6 seasons before a deal in 1988-89 sent him to the Winnipeg Jets. This tough guy played in Winnipeg for four years before spending several years in Buffalo and finally a couple more in Dallas. Over the course of 12 NHL seasons this enforcer played in 554 games and amassed 2069 PIMS! Donnelly twice eclipsed the 300 PIMS mark in addition to a handful of 200 PIMS seasons.
The game wear on this size 56 sweater is on the lighter side and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. Donnelly appeared in just 18 games in 1993-94 for the first year Dallas Stars, compiling 66 PIMS in the process as he officially eclipsed the 2000 PIMS mark, a badge of honor worn proudly by any NHL enforcer.
