1993-94 Enrico Ciccone Portland Pirates Game Worn Jersey - Inaugural Season - Calder Cup Winning Season
Lot #277

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Enrico Ciccone during the 1993-94 AHL season. Ciccone is a veteran of 9 NHL seasons that spanned 374 games and 7 different teams. He was perhaps the decade of the 1990’s most recognizable goon at the position of defense. With his average of nearly 4 minutes per game, Enrico racked up 1469 PIMS over the course of his career. Prior to getting his permanent shot at the bigs, Enrico ran roughshot over the IHL as a member of the Kalamazoo Wings. In 123 games with the club, Enrico racked up 840 PIMS – or an average of nearly 7 PIMS per game!

Ciccone’s 2nd NHL team was the Washington Capitals with whom he played for the first time in 1993-94. The Portland Pirates came into existence for the 1993-94 season as the Capitals AHL affiliate. Enrico spent a total of 6 games with the club, offered here is his home jersey from that season. Solid game use exists with plenty of stick marks scattered throughout. In addition there are board burns, un-repaired burn holes, washed out bloodstains and plenty of inner pilling. Removed from the right breast is a circular patch. There is also a nameplate change worthy of mention, a commonality in the minor leagues of the period. Nice offering from the team’s inaugural and only Calder Cup winning season!
