After playing 4 years of college hockey at Boston College and graduating in 1986, this Southborough, MA native began his NHL career with the New Jersey Devils in 1986-87. After playing 7 seasons in the Garden State, Brown spent a year with the Pittsburgh Penguins before joining the Detroit Red Wings in 1994-95. Brown went to the Cup Finals in 3 of his first 4 years in Detroit and walked away with two Stanley Cup Rings. After 7 seasons with the Red Wings, Doug announced his retirement following a 15-year NHL career.
