1993-94 Darren McCarty Detroit Red Wings Game Worn Jersey - Rookie
Lot #59
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and Eastside was worn by Darren McCarty during the 1993-94 NHL season, his rookie year. The Detroit Red Wings selected McCarty in the 2nd round of the 1992 NHL Entry Draft. He began a 15-year NHL career with the Red Wings in 1993-94. Darren would represent the Motor City for 13 of his 15-years of NHL service during which time he appeared in 5 Stanley Cup Finals and walked away victorious 4 times. Always a willing combatant, this grinder averaged about 2 PIMS per game over the course of his career having accumulated 1477 PIMS in 758 regular season games.

The sleeves on this gamer have been customized for Mac with a triangular mesh insert added to both wrists. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops and separation at the front and back of the collar, a well-salted fight strap, pulls and heavy inner pilling. McCarty set a single season career high with 181 PIMS in 67 games while wearing this jersey on home ice during his rookie season!
