These home white jersey and shorts by Champion were worn by Clarence Weatherspoon while playing for the Philadelphia 76ers during the 1993-94 NBA season. Weatherspoon was a three-time Metro Conference Player of the Year at the University of Southern Mississippi, the only player in conference history to achieve the feat three times. He was selected by the Philadelphia 76ers as the ninth pick in the 1992 NBA draft. Weatherspoon's second season was his finest as a professional. He led the 76ers in scoring at 18.4 points per game and averaged a career high 10.1 rebounds per game. He was extremely consistent, scoring in double-figures in 80 of 82 games, and recording 46 double-doubles. He registered his only career triple-double in February 1994, in a home win over Charlotte. He played for the 76ers, Golden State Warriors Miami Heat, Cleveland Cavaliers, New York Knicks and the Houston Rockets, averaging 11.5 points per game throughout his career.
This white Champion jersey has the player name “Weatherspoon” on the back. On the tail is the Champion manufacturer and size tag. Also on the tail is the 1994-95 year tag with +3” body length. The white shorts have the manufactures tags with the #35 on them. We acquired the 76ers game worn jerseys directly from the team in the early 1990's.
