1992 C.J. Young Team USA Pre-Olympics Game Worn Jersey
Lot #73

This blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by C.J. Young while representing the US National Team during the 1991-92 season leading up to the 1992 Olympics in Albertville, France. The New Jersey Devils selected Young in the 1989 Supplemental Draft. After playing four years of decorated college hockey at Harvard University, this Waban, MA native made his professional debut with Salt Lake in the IHL where he captured the 1990-91 Ken McKenzie Trophy. Young spent the majority of the following year with Team USA in preparation for the 1992 Olympics. He made his NHL debut in 1992-93 representing the Calgary Flames and the hometown Boston Bruins.

The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of some stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Young was among Team USA’s leading scorers while representing the National Team in 1991-92. He scored 17 goals and added 17 assists for 34 points and earned a spot on Team USA’s Olympic roster. In 8 Olympic games, Young scored 3 goals and added 3 assists for 6 points. A nice offering from one of 92 Team USA’s unsung stars.
