Description
1992-93 Tommy Sjodin Minnesota North Stars Game Worn Jersey Rookie
Lot #144

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Tommy Sjodin during the 1992-93 NHL season, his rookie year. The Minnesota North Stars selected Sjodin in the 12th round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Sundsvall, Sweden spent 6 years in the SEL prior to beginning his NHL career in 1992-93 with the North Stars. Tommy went with the franchise to Dallas where he played briefly in 1993-94 before joining the Quebec Nordiques later that same season. After only 2 seasons, this Swede returned to Europe where he played for the next 14 seasons before retiring in 2008.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear on this 3rd set size 52 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. Sewn to the inner hip is the official Minnesota North Stars game worn set tagging. A nice patched rookie sweater from the franchise’s last year in Minnesota.
