GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to bring this exciting collection of game worn enforcers, tough guys and instigators to the hobby exclusively thru our Fall 2018 Auction. These 11 NHL and minor league game worn jerseys have been held in a private collection since being purchased beginning nearly 20 years ago and have been out of hobby circulation ever since. Included in this group of legendary tough guys are some extremely difficult to find players and styles, most which are being offered at auction for the first time!

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM and The Sharp Edge was worn by Shawn “The Barbarian” Cronin during the 1992-93 AHL season. Cronin, a native of Flushing, MI played 4 seasons of college hockey at the University of Illinois-Chicago before jumping directly into the pro-ranks as an undrafted enforcer. Cronin spent 3 seasons in the minors before he made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the Washington Capitals. All told, Cronin spent 7 seasons in the NHL where he represented the Capitals, Winnipeg Jets, Philadelphia Flyers and San Jose Sharks. Incidentally, Cronin scored the first playoff goal in San Jose Sharks franchise history, one of only 4 goals that he scored in his NHL career, regular season and playoffs combined. Cronin amassed 551 PIMS during his brief AHL career of 160 games! In 292 NHL games played “The Barbarian” accumulated another 877 PIMS!

The game wear on this sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, material pulls and inner pilling. Cronin played a total of just 7 games with the Hershey Bears, wearing this sweater on home ice during his only season as a member of the Philadelphia Flyers organization. A truly rare offering worn by one of the fight fans beloved all-time enforcers.
