Description
1992-93 Petr Nedved Canucks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #92

This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Petr Nedved during the 1992-93 NHL season. Nedved was the 2nd overall selection in the 1990 NHL entry draft by the Vancouver Canucks, where he began his career. Following 3 seasons in Vancouver, Nedved played a year for St. Louis, 7 seasons with New York, 2 years with the Penguins, and then had short stints for the Oilers, Coyotes and Flyers. Nedved’s finest individual season came whilst a member of the Penguins in 1995-96 when he netted 45 goals and 99 points. He has represented Team Canada in the 1994 Olympics and the Czech-Republic in the 1996 World Cup of Hockey.

The 1992-93 season saw Nedved breakout, lighting the lamp 38 times, good for the 2nd highest total in his career. Offered here is one of Petr’s home sweaters from that breakout season.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear is solid with many stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, heavy inner pilling and a couple of team-sewn repairs. There is little doubt that Petr often held his stick high in celebration while wearing this very sweater.
