This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jimmy Waite during the 1992-93 NHL season. The Chicago Blackhawks selected Waite 8th overall in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. After a couple of years in the QMJHL, Waite joined the Hawks in 1988-89 and began what would be a 22-year professional career. Jimmy’s NHL career spanned 11 seasons. He spent 8 of those years with the Blackhawks, a lone season with the Sharks and a final 2-year stint with the Phoenix Coyotes. When his NHL days were done, Waite spent a couple of seasons in the AHL and then went to Europe where he recently wrapped up a 9-year run in the DEL.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. Beneath this is the outline of the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and puck marks, plenty of goal post paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, a well-salted fight strap, pulls and areas of heavy pilling. A well worn patched example that should excite the goalie collectors. This jersey will be accompanied by a Blackhawks team letter.
