1992-93 Jeff Reese Calgary Flames Game Worn Jersey Photo Match
Lot #66

This road red air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Jeff Reese during the 1992-93 NHL season. The Toronto Maple Leafs selected Reese in the 4th round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. Reese made his NHL debut in 1987-88 with Toronto where he tended goal for parts of five seasons. On January 2, 1992, Reese was part of a blockbuster trade that sent him and others to Calgary in exchange for a handful of players including Doug Gilmour. Reese spent parts of three years with the Flames before representing the Hartford Whalers, Tampa Bay Lightning and New Jersey Devils. Reese returned briefly to Toronto in 1998-99 where he played in his final two NHL games. All told this Goalie stood between the pipes for 11 NHL seasons.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The sleeves on this jersey have been customized for Reese by the team. The game wear on this size 56 Goalie cut sweater consist of stick and puck marks, material pulls, heavy pilling at the torn sleeve cuffs, un-repaired trauma and a team-sewn repair. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Reese wearing this exact jersey during the 1992-93 season. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Reese’s own hand. A nice photo matched and Stanley Cup patched example from this Goalie’s time in Calgary.
