1992-93 Dave Brown Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey
Lot #40
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Dave Brown during the 1992-93 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Brown in the 7th round of the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. This rugged 6’ 5” 210 lb. bruising RW began his NHL career in 1982-83 with the Flyers. He spent parts of 7 seasons in Philadelphia before a deal sent him to the Edmonton Oilers in 1988-89. Dave spent parts of 3 years with the Oilers before returning to Philadelphia in 1991-92, where he played for the next 4 years. Brown spent one final season with the San Jose Sharks before retiring in 1996. During his career, Brown partook in 2 Stanley Cup Finals as a youngster under the guidance of head coach Mike Keenan. He won his only Stanley Cup Championship as a member of the Edmonton Oilers in 1990. Considered one of the NHL’s roughest customers, Brown compiled 1789 PIMS in 729 games played. He compiled another 209 PIMS in 80 playoff contests. The mid 1980’s saw Dave ring up back-to-back seasons of 277 PIMS and 274 PIMS as a member of the Flyers.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 56 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, a well-salted fight strap and inner pilling. Fight abuse exists with bloodstains, stitch pops and a completely torn rear collar that has been crudely repaired by the Flyers staff. On the back right shoulder is a black sharpie signature in Brown’s own hand. A terrific enforcer’s jersey from one of the all-time heavyweights!
