Description
1992-93 Brad Werenka Edmonton Oilers Game Worn Jersey - Rookie - Team Letter
Lot #383
This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Brad Werenka during the 1992-93 NHL season, his rookie year. The Edmonton Oilers selected Werenka, an Alberta native, in the 2nd round of the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. After 5 years at Northern Michigan University, Brad joined the Oilers organization and made his NHL debut in 1992-93. During his 2nd season in Edmonton, the team dealt him to the Quebec Nordiques where he played for one season. Brad next spent a year with the Chicago Blackhawks, parts of 3 more with the Pittsburgh Penguins and parts of two with the Calgary Flames.

This rookie jersey originates from the Peter Pocklington collection. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear on this sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, inner pilling and a handful of team-sewn repairs. A well-worn patched example from Brad’s rookie season. This jersey will be accompanied by an Oilers team letter.
