1992-93 Bill Guerin New Jersey Devils Game Worn Jersey Rookie Team Letter
Lot #53
This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Bill Guerin during the 1992-93 NHL season, his official rookie year. The New Jersey Devils selected Guerin with the 5th overall selection in the 1989 NHL Entry Draft. This Wilbraham, MA native played his college hockey at Boston College before making his NHL debut with a 5-game stint in 1991-92 with the Devils. Guerin spent the first 7 years of his 19-year NHL career with the Devils, capturing Lord Stanley’s Cup in 1995. Bill went on to play for the Oilers, Bruins, Stars, Blues, Sharks, Islanders and the Penguins where he won his 2nd Stanley Cup Championship. During his career, Guerin scored 429 goals and 856 points while also accumulating 1660 PIMS in 1263 games played. He was a 2nd Team NHL All Star who played in four NHL All Star Games. On the international stage, Guerin was an integral part of Team USA hockey, playing in both World Cup’s of Hockey and three Olympics.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 100-year Stanley Cup anniversary patch. The game wear on this 2nd set size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, sleeve pilling and inner pilling. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Guerin's own hand. On the inside hem is the official New Jersey Devils game worn jersey and set stamp. A nice example from this 400-Goal scorer’s rookie season. This jersey will be accompanied by a Devils team letter.
