1991 Kevin Miller Team USA Canada Cup Game Worn Jersey – “Labatt” - Photo Match
Lot #72

This blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Kevin Miller during the 1991 Canada Cup. After playing his college hockey at Michigan State University, the Lansing, MI native made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the New York Rangers. Miller enjoyed a 12-year NHL career that saw him represent the Rangers, Red Wings, Capitals, Blues, Sharks, Penguins, Blackhawks, Islanders and Senators. On the international stage, Miller represented Team USA extensively, having spent a full season with their National Team, playing in the World Championships, the 1991 Canada Cup and the 1988 Olympics.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the Labatt patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired trauma and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Miller wearing this exact jersey during the 1991 Canada Cup. Miller played in 8 games for Team USA during the 1991 Canada Cup, going +3 while scoring twice and adding three assists for five points to go along with 16 PIMS. During the entirety of the 1991 Canada Cup, Team USA defeated every team that came their way with the exception of Team Canada. The two eventually squared off in the Finals and Canada remained undefeated, sweeping Team USA in the best of three Final round. A terrific well-worn photo matched example hailing from the last-ever Canada Cup series.
