This road green knit gamer by CCM was worn by Trevor Steinburg during the 1991-92 NHL pre-season and training camp. Stienburg was a 1st round draft pick by Quebec in the 1984 NHL entry draft. Trevor played parts of 4 seasons with the Quebec Nordiques and in 1991-92 attended camp with the Whalers. He didn’t make the NHL squad and spent the 91-92 campaign with the New Haven Nighthawks of the AHL. Known as a policeman, Stienburg racked up major PIM totals year after year in the American Hockey League.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 75-year NHL anniversary patch. Trevor fought hard (literally) to make the Whalers team during the 1991-92 training camp and pre-season. This gamer shows the battle scars of his effort. Numerous stick marks, board burns, un-repaired burn holes and board paint transfer litter the body and sleeves of this sweater, with inner pilling also worthy of mention.
