This home white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Tony Twist during the 1991-92 NHL preseason. The St. Louis Blues selected Twist in the 9th round of the 1988 NHL Entry Draft. This legendary pugilist made his NHL debut with the Blues in 1989-90. After merely a season in St. Louis, Twist joined the Quebec Nordiques and spent the next 4 seasons patrolling the ice north of the border. In 1994-95, Tony rejoined the St. Louis Blues and finished his career with them some 5 seasons later. Over the course of 10 NHL seasons, Twist dressed for 445 games during which time he accumulated 1121 PIMS, most by way of 5-minute majors.
The wrist on the right sleeve of this gamer has been torn open at the seam. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer and inner pilling. The fight strap has undergone heavy customization. Loss is evident to the lettering, numbering and fleur-de-lis as shown in the photos above. A nice early career gamer of this popular enforcer.
