This white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Peter Ahola during the 1991-92 NHL season, his rookie year. This native of Espoo, Finland played his college hockey at Boston University before making his NHL debut in 1991-92 with the Los Angeles Kings. Ahola played in three NHL seasons, representing the Kings, Penguins, Sharks and Flames before returning to Finland where he spent the next 9 seasons playing in the SEL.
Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the LA Kings 25-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the right breast is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns and fine inner pilling. There is also a fair amount of staining throughout that would be helped with a good wash. Ahola wore this double anniversary patched sweater during his rookie season as he compiled 19-points and 101 PIMS in 71 games played from the blueline for Gretzky’s Kings.
