1991-92 Pat Peake-Brent Hughes Baltimore Skipjacks Game Worn Jersey
Lot #996

This home white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Pat Peake and Brent Hughes during the 1991-92 AHL season. The Washington Capitals selected Peake in the 1st round of the 1991 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Rochester, MI made his NHL debut with the Capitals in 1993-94 and spent his entire 5-year NHL career in the nation’s capitol.

Hughes began his NHL career with the Winnipeg Jets in 1988-89. Following a couple of seasons with the Jets, Hughes played with the Boston Bruins for 5 years and then spent a final season with the New York Islanders. This noted tough guy racked up 831 PIMS over the course of his 357 game NHL career.

Hughes was the first to wear this jersey, having played 55 games and scoring 25 Goals and 54 Points to go along with 190 PIMS for the Skipjacks in 1991-92. Hughes was dealt to the Bruins organization during the latter part of the season. This jersey was then given to highly touted 1st round draft choice Pat Peake when he joined the club in the spring of 1992 after completing his OHL season. This was in fact Peake’s first professional jersey.

The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, some heavy bloodstaining and fine inner pilling. The Hughes nameplate will also accompany your purchase. A well-worn minor league offering that was worn by a pair of former NHL wingers!
