Description
1991-92 Mario Roberge Montreal Canadiens Game Worn Jersey
Lot #42
This white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Mario Roberge during the 1991-92 season. Roberge, who hails from Quebec City, made his NHL debut in 1990-91 with the Montreal Canadiens where he played for his entire five-year NHL career. The highlight of this tough guy’s career was winning the 1993 Stanley Cup. Always quick to drop his gloves, Mario racked up about 3 PIMS per game over the course of his NHL career. His single season best total of 385 PIMS came in 1990-91 as he shared time between Fredericton and Montreal. Following his last season with the Canadiens, Mario spent another 7 seasons in the minors slugging it out with the best of them.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. The sleeves on this gamer have been customized with stretchy knit inserts added that extend the entire length of the arm. The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick marks, board burns, board paint transfer from the Montreal Forum, stitch popping and repair work around the collar, inner pilling and more than 20 team-sewn repairs all told. A well-worn patched example of this Cup winning enforcer.
