1991-92 Lee Norwood St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey – “25-year Anniversary”
Lot #147

This blue air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Lee Norwood during the 1991-92 NHL season. The Quebec Nordiques selected Norwood in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. This native of Trenton, Michigan made his NHL debut with the Nordiques in 1980-81. Norwood spent 12 seasons clearing creases in the NHL, representing the Nordiques, Capitals, Blues, Red Wings, Devils, Whalers and Flames during his career. This hard-nosed defenseman accumulated 1099 PIMS in 503 NHL games played.

Sewn to the left shoulder of this gamer is the St. Louis Blues 25-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the right breast is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 52 sweater is solid and consists of numerous stick and slash marks, heavy butt tape transfer, board burns, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops and a dozen team-sewn repairs. A nameplate change is worthy of mention as Norwood joined the Blues via trade from Hartford on Novemeber 13, 1991. A well-worn multi-patched offering from the NHL’s 75th and the Blues 25th anniversary seasons.
