Description
1991-92 Larry Robinson NHL All Star Game Worn Jersey
Lot #22

This Turn Back The Clock Barber Pole knit All Star gamer by CCM was worn by Hall of Fame defenseman Larry Robinson during the 1991-92 NHL All Star game. Robinson enjoyed a 20-year NHL career and spent the first 17 of those seasons with Montreal, where he won 7 Stanley Cups. Larry was the 1978 Conn Smythe Trophy winner as playoff MVP and also captured 2 Norris Trophies as the NHL’s best defenseman. Robinson was 6-times a 1st or 2nd team NHL All Star on defense and was a regular participant in the NHL All Star game throughout his 2 decade long career, playing in a total of 10 of them.

Larry also starred when the international spotlight was on, playing for Team Canada in 4 different Canada Cups while also taking part in those memorable New Year’s Eve Super Series contests against the Soviets during the Cold War era. He is considered one of the game’s all-time greats and was so recognized in the now revered ‘The Hockey News’ book which ranked the 50 greatest players in NHL history. Larry was honored as the 24th greatest player in NHL history in that publication.

Worn during Big Bird’s final All Star game appearance, Larry set up Theo Fleury late in the 2nd period to notch his final All Star point en route to a 10-6 victory in the annual contest. Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the 75-year NHL Anniversary patch. Game wear consists of stick marks which can be found on the front, back and sleeves, sweat staining along the rim of the white collar as well as inner pilling. Perhaps the most revered All Star style of the past several decades, this Hall of Fame offering certainly won’t disappoint.
