1991-92 Craig Janney St. Louis Blues Game Worn Jersey – “25-year Anniversary” - Photo Match
Lot #44

This white air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Craig Janney during the 1991-92 NHL season. The Boston Bruins selected Janney in the 1st round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. After spending time at Boston College and with the U.S. National Team, this Hartford, CT native began his 12-year NHL career with the Bruins in 1987-88. He would spend parts of 5 seasons in Boston where he went to 2 Stanley Cup Finals in his first 3-years in the league. Craig was dealt to the St. Louis Blues during the 1991-92 season in exchange for Adam Oates and spent parts of 4 years in St. Louis. He would finish his career with stints in San Jose, Winnipeg, Phoenix, Tampa Bay and the Islanders. In 760 games played, Janney scored 751-points. His career best season came with the Blues in 1992-93, when he assisted on 82 goals and tallied 106 points. Janney represented Team USA in the World Championships, the 1988 Olympics and the 1991 Canada Cup.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the left shoulder is the St. Louis Blues 25-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Janney wearing this exact jersey during the 1991-92 season. On the inside crest is a beautiful blue sharpie signature in Janney’s own hand. After arriving from Boston in February of 92, Janney played in 25 games, lighting the lamp 6 times and assisting on 30 goals for 36 regular season points before adding 6 more assists in 6 playoff games that spring. A terrific double-patched photo matched offering that was worn by this talented set up man during his first season in St. Louis.
