This red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Craig Billington during the 1991-92 NHL season. The New Jersey Devils selected Billington in the 2nd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. He would spend the first 5 years of his 15-year NHL career in New Jersey. After leaving the Meadowlands, Billington played for Ottawa, Boston, Colorado and Washinton. Billington was an NHL All Star in 1992-93 where he represented the Devils in what would be his final season with the club thanks to the emergence of Martin Brodeur. Craig also played for Team Canada’s National Team in 1990-91 and represented his country in the World Championships.
Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the rear hem is the New Jersey Devils 10-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this 2nd set sweater is visibly on the lighter side, showing the signs of repeated washings, stick and puck marks and fine areas of pilling throughout. A nice goalie worn two-patched offering that features New Jersey’s old defunct color scheme.
