1991-92 Brian Bellows Minnesota North Stars Game Worn Jersey Brian Bellows Letter
Lot #48
This Minnesota North Stars game worn jersey will be accompanied by a hand-written letter from Brian Bellows. In the letter, Brian thanks his friend Tim for his support and gifts this jersey to him following the season. Brian also indicates that he wore this jersey during their last game against Detroit.

This white knit gamer by CCM was worn by Brian Bellows during the 1991-92 NHL season. The Minnesota North Stars made Bellows the 2nd overall pick in the 1982 NHL Entry Draft. Brian began his career in 1982-83 and called Minnesota home for his first 10 seasons. During that time, Brian recorded a 55-goal season, two more 40-goal years, was a 2nd Team NHL All Star, played in 3 NHL All Star games and the 1991 Stanley Cup Finals. The 1992-93 season saw Bellows join the Montreal Canadiens and it was in large part to his 40-goal outburst that helped the Canadiens to the Stanley Cup, earning Brian his first and only ring. Bellows would spend 3 seasons in Montreal and then did stints in Tampa Bay, Anaheim and Washington before retiring in 1999. His career totals of 485 goals and 1022 points leave him among the elite scorers of his generation.

Sewn to the right breast of this gamer is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch. Sewn to the left shoulder is the Minnesota North Stars 25-year anniversary patch. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and fine inner pilling. Staining is also worthy of mention. This nicely worn example seemingly hails from the latter part of this memorable season and according to Brian’s letter, which will accompany your purchase, was in fact worn against Detroit during the last game.
