GAMEWORNAUCTIONS.NET is pleased to present The John Shipman Collection. This exciting collection of game worn jerseys, game used sticks, game worn equipment and memorabilia come directly from the personal collection of John Shipman. Mr. Shipman personally collected and preserved these items over the course of his tenure as the Montreal Canadiens assistant trainer from 1988-97. A signed letter from Mr. Shipman will accompany your purchase.

This road red knit gamer by CCM was worn by Benoit Brunet during the 1991-92 and 1992-93 Stanley Cup winning season. The Montreal Canadiens selected Brunet in the 2nd round of the 1986 NHL Entry Draft. This Quebec native made his NHL debut in 1988-89 with the Canadiens where he played for 13 seasons before wrapping up his career with stops in Dallas and Ottawa. Brunet won his only Stanley Cup in 1993 with the Canadiens.

Sewn to the right breast is the NHL’s 75-year anniversary patch, which is covered by the 1993 NHL All Star Game patch. The game wear on this size 52 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. Worn during the Canadiens 1992-93 Stanley Cup winning campaign, this beautiful multi-patched fresh to the hobby offering comes directly from the personal collection of former Montreal Canadiens assistant trainer John Shipman and is accompanied by his signed LOA.
