Description
1990’s Guy Carbonneau Montreal Canadiens Pre-Season Game Issued Jersey – Team Letter
Lot #91

This red knit jersey by CCM was issued for use by Guy Carbonneau during the pre-season in the early 1990’s. The Montreal Canadiens selected Carbonneau in the 3rd round of the 1979 NHL Entry Draft. Guy made his NHL debut in 1980-81 with Les Habitants and spent the first 13 years of his 19-year, 1318-game NHL career with Montreal. Following two Stanley Cup titles with the Canadiens, Carbonneau spent a season with the St. Louis Blues before joining the Dallas Stars where he spent the final five years of his storied career. During his final two years with the Stars, Carbonneau made back-to-back trips to the Stanley Cup Finals and skated away with his 3rd Stanley Cup ring. In the tradition of Bob Gainey before him, Carbonneau took over the reigns as the NHL’s best defensive forward and was so recognized with three Frank J. Selke Trophies spanning 1988 to 1992.

Sewn to the left breast of this size 52 jersey is the alternate Captain’s “A”. On the back player number is a beautiful black sharpie signature in Carbonneau’s own hand. This jersey will be accompanied by a Canadiens team letter.
