Description
1990-92 Paul MacDermid & Rob Murray Washington Capitals Game Worn Jersey
Lot #63
This road red air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Rob Murray during the 1990-91 NHL season. The jersey was later worn by Paul MacDermid during the 1992-93 NHL preseason.

The Washington Capitals selected Murray in the 3rd round of the 1985 NHL Entry Draft. This Toronto native made his NHL debut in 1989-90 with the Capitals where he played for two seasons before joining the Winnipeg Jets. Murray spent five years skating for Winnipeg and another with the Phoenix Coyotes encompassing his 8-year NHL career. This tough guy also spent 16 seasons in the minor leagues where he compiled an impressive 3079 PIMS! 15 of those seasons were spent in the AHL, where Rob racked up 2940 PIMS. Murray was inducted to the AHL Hall of Fame in 2017.

The Hartford Whalers selected MacDermid in the 3rd round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. This Chesley native made his NHL debut in 1981-82 with the Whalers where he played for 9 seasons. Paul went on to represent the Winnipeg Jets, Washington Capitals and Quebec Nordiques over the course of his 14-year NHL career. In 690 games played, this tough guy accumulated 1303 PIMS.

The game wear on this size 54 sweater is solid and consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, material pulls and inner pilling. This vintage example saw plenty of ice time over the course of multiple seasons while also seeing its fair share of fight time.
