Description
1990-91 Rod Buskas Los Angeles Kings Game Worn Jersey
Lot #56
This road black air-knit gamer by CCM was worn by Rod Buskas during the 1990-91 NHL season. The Pittsburgh Penguins selected Buskas in the 6th round of the 1981 NHL Entry Draft. This Alberta native made his NHL debut in 1982-83 with the Penguins where he skated for 8 seasons. Rod also represented the Canucks, Kings and Blackhawks over the course of his 11-year NHL career. This rearguard played the role of enforcer and in 556 games played, he accumulated 1294 PIMS with a career best 206 PIMS coming in 1987-88 with the Penguins.\

Light but obvious game wear exists on this size 54 sweater that was worn during a season that saw Buskas play in 59 games between the regular season and playoffs and compile 204 PIMS. Rod’s departure during the 1991-92 season cleared the way for the acquisition of Paul Coffey who then assumed the player number 77.
