Description
1990-91 Pierre Turgeon Buffalo Sabres Game Worn Jersey
Lot #15
This road blue knit gamer by CCM was worn by Pierre Turgeon during the 1990-91 NHL season. The Buffalo Sabres selected Turgeon with the 1st overall pick in the 1987 NHL Entry Draft. This Rouyn-Noranda native made his NHL debut in 1987-88 with the Sabres where he played for parts of five seasons. Early during the 1991-92 campaign, Buffalo dealt Turgeon to the New York Islanders in exchange for Hall of Famer Pat LaFontaine. Turgeon next spent four years with the Islanders, before moving on to Montreal where he would serve as Team Captain, St. Louis, Dallas and finally Colorado. In 1294 games played, Pierre tabbed 515 goals and 1327 points. His single season best points total came in 1992-93 when he scored 58 Goals and 132 Points. Turgeon is a four-time NHL All Star who won the 1992-93 Lady Byng Memorial Trophy. This 500-Goal scorer has the highest career points total of any player not already inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame.

The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes and inner pilling. In 78 games played in 1990-91, Turgeon netted 32 Goals and added 47 assists for 79 Points. A nice early career example worn by this 500-Goal scorer during his last full season with the Buffalo Sabres.
