1990-91 Jeff Chychrun Philadelphia Flyers Game Worn Jersey & 1991-92 Dan Kordic Pre-Season Game Worn Jersey – Rookie
Lot #44
This road orange air-knit gamer by CCM was last worn by Dan Kordic during the 1991-92 NHL preseason, his rookie year. The jersey was originally worn by Jeff Chychrun during the 1990-91 NHL season. The Philadelphia Flyers selected Kordic in the 5th round of the 1990 NHL Entry Draft. Dan, the brother of legendary NHL enforcer John Kordic, followed well in his big brother’s footsteps. Kordic made his NHL debut with the Philadelphia Flyers in 1991-92 and spent all 6 years of his NHL career with Philadelphia where he excelled in the role of enforcer. Standing at 6’ 5” put Dan in the heavyweight class and he willingly stood up to the league’s best fighters, recording back-to-back years of 210 PIMS from 1996-98 and ending his career with 584 PIMS in 197 games played.

The Philadelphia Flyers selected Chychrun in the 2nd round of the 1984 NHL Entry Draft. This Quebec native made his NHL debut in 1986-87 with the Flyers where he played for five seasons. Jeff went on to briefly represent the LA Kings before joining the Pittsburgh Penguins during the 1991-92 season as the club won their 2nd straight Stanley Cup. After just a lone game in 1992-93 with the Pens, Jeff again joined the LA Kings. His final NHL season was with the Edmonton Oilers in 1993-94. In a career that spanned just 262 games played, this enforcer compiled an impressive 742 PIMS. His single season best totals came with the Flyers in 1988-89 and 1989-90 when he racked up 245 PIMS and 248 PIMS respectively.

The sleeve cuffs on this gamer have been customized by the team. The right sleeve suffered trauma following the club’s customization. The game wear on this size 54 sweater consists of stick and slash marks, board burns, board paint transfer, un-repaired burn holes, stitch pops, trauma, washed out bloodstains and inner pilling. A custom skate lace style fight strap was added to replace the traditional fight strap. A beautiful fight abused example that was worn by a pair of Broad Street Bullies, Jeff Chychrun during his last season with the Flyers and Dan Kordic as a rookie.
