Description
1990-91 Darren Turcotte New York Rangers Game Worn Jersey - Photo Match - All Star Season
Lot #316

This amazing jersey was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection. We will be donating a percentage of the proceeds from the sale of this sweater to the The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society both in support of Ken and to help aid in the fight against Blood Cancers.

This home white heavy mesh gamer by CCM and Cosby was worn by Darren Turcotte during the 1990-91 NHL season. Turcotte broke into the NHL in 1988-89 with the New York Rangers. He would remain on Broadway for six seasons before joining the Whalers during the 1993-94 season. Darren would also represent Winnipeg, San Jose, St. Louis and Nashville before retiring during the 1999-00 season thanks to a serious knee injury. Turcotte twice netted 30 goals with New York and earned himself a spot on the 1991 NHL All Star team.

This fantastic example was worn during Turcotte’s only All Star season. The game wear on this sweater is outstanding with loads of stick and slash marks, plenty of board burns, board paint transfer, washed out bloodstains, gobs of pilling both inside and out and 14 team-sewn repairs. Shown above is a beautiful photo match of Turcotte wearing this exact jersey during the 1990-91 season. A wonderful hammered vintage gamer.

It comes as no surprise that this beautiful Rangers jersey is loaded with game wear, as it was part of the Ken “Hammered Hockey” Mace Collection.
